Description
A delicious blind baked pie crust that can be used for various pie fillings.
Ingredients

- ½ cup salted butter (softened)
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon cornmeal
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450 °F.
- In a large bowl, mix the butter, sugar, and vanilla together.
- Mix in the eggs, then the cornmeal, whipping and vinegar until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pie plate.
- Place the pie plate on a baking sheet.
- Place in the oven and immediately turn the temperature down to 350 °F.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is browned and the pie is set.
- Let cool completely, then cut and serve topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- This pie crust works well for both sweet and savory pies.
- Make sure to let the pie crust cool completely before adding any fillings.
