Description

A delicious layered dessert made with Oreo cookies, whipped cream, and vanilla pudding.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 packet instant vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk
  • Blue food coloring (optional)
  • Extra Oreo cookies for topping
  • Chocolate chips or Oreo crumbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Crush the Cookies: Place the Oreo cookies in a resealable plastic bag and crush them into fine crumbs using a rolling pin. Set aside.
  2. Prepare the Whipped Cream: In a large mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until soft peaks form.
  3. Make the Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix and cold milk until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Combine for Filling: Gently fold the whipped cream into the pudding mixture until well incorporated.
  5. Add Color: If desired, add a few drops of blue food coloring to half of the filling mixture and gently mix until evenly colored.
  6. Assemble the Cake: In a square or rectangular dish, spread a layer of the crushed Oreo cookies evenly on the bottom. Spread a layer of the vanilla pudding and whipped cream mixture over the crumbs. Add another layer of crushed Oreo cookies. Spread the blue-colored pudding and whipped cream mixture on top of the crumbs. Repeat layers until all components are used, finishing with a blue layer on top.
  7. Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the cake to set.

Notes

  • For a more intense Oreo flavor, use Oreo-flavored pudding instead of vanilla.
  • Ensure the cake chills long enough for the cookies to soften and for flavors to meld.
  • Garnish with extra Oreo cookies, chocolate chips, or crushed Oreo crumbs before serving to enhance presentation.
  • Experiment with different food coloring options to match specific themes or occasions.
