Description

A fresh and vibrant salsa made with tomatoes, onions, and spices.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 28 ounce can whole peeled tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic (peeled)
  • ½ white or yellow onion (about 1 cup or 128g)
  • 1 large jalapeño (or 2 medium, see note)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 handful cilantro (about 12g)

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes, garlic, onion, and jalapeno in blender jar. Pulse until roughly chopped.
  2. Add the spices and cilantro and blend (pulsing) until you reach your desired consistency.
  3. Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
