Description

This creamy chicken pasta is an irresistible dish made with tender chicken, garlic, and a rich sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lbs chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
  • 3 cloves garlic (fresh and minced)
  • 8 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 2 tsp Italian herbs (dried (oregano and basil))
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper
  • As needed olive oil (for sautéing)

Instructions

  1. Fill a pot with water and add salt. Bring it to a rolling boil, then cook 8 oz of pasta until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season 1 lbs of chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then sauté until golden brown, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and let it rest.
  3. In the same skillet, toss in 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, bringing it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 2 tsp of dried Italian herbs, and additional salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce bubble and thicken for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until it’s completely melted and creamy. Return the sliced chicken and the cooked pasta to the skillet.
  6. Gently toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated in the luscious sauce. Adjust seasonings if necessary, then serve hot!

  • This dish can be garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs for extra flavor.
