- 2 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup maple syrup

- 1 package (14 oz) pie crusts (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix chopped apples, maple syrup, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Roll out pie crusts on a floured surface; cut into 4-inch circles.
- Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
- Fold the dough over to create half-moons and seal edges with a fork.
- Whisk egg with water; brush over tops of each pie.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using brown sugar instead of maple syrup.
- These hand pies can be served warm or at room temperature.
