- 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust for spice level)
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Rinse shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sauté quickly, being careful not to burn it.
- Add shrimp in a single layer; sprinkle with red pepper flakes. Cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 2 minutes per side.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice over cooked shrimp and toss gently.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For less spice, reduce the amount of red pepper flakes.
- This dish pairs well with rice or crusty bread.
