- 4–6 lb prime rib roast
- 2 tbsp wasabi paste
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Place the prime rib roast bone-side down in a roasting pan; pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, combine wasabi paste, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to form a paste.
- Spread the wasabi mixture evenly over the roast.
- Roast at 450°F for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 325°F (163°C) and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare, about an additional hour.
- Let the roast rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.

- Resting the roast allows the juices to redistribute.
