Description

A delicious dish combining shrimp, orzo, and a creamy lemon-garlic sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 1/2 cups orzo
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp and sear in butter and oil; remove.
  2. Add garlic and remaining butter to skillet.
  3. Toast orzo 1 minute; add broth, lemon zest, and juice.
  4. Simmer until liquid absorbs.
  5. Add cream and Parmesan until creamy.
  6. Return shrimp to skillet and toss.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • This dish can be served with a side of garlic bread for a complete meal.
  • Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
