- 1/2 head green cabbage, sliced
- 3 medium-sized potatoes (Russets recommended), cubed
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Garlic powder, smoked paprika, or cayenne pepper for added flavor
Instructions
- Wash and slice the cabbage into thin strips.
- Peel and cube the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
- Dice the onion finely.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter until bubbling.
- Add the cubed potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Stir in the diced onion and cook for an additional 5 minutes until translucent.
- Add the sliced cabbage and any optional seasonings.
- Stir until the cabbage wilts down, about 8-10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary before serving hot.
