Description

Delightful Festive Snowman Cake Pops that are perfect for holiday celebrations!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box cake mix (any flavor of your choice)
  • 1 cup frosting (vanilla works well)
  • 1 package white candy melts
  • 1 package of cake pop sticks
  • Black and orange edible gel pens or icing for decorating
  • Mini chocolate chips (for buttons and eyes)
  • Candy corn or orange tic-tacs for noses
  • Red licorice laces or similar candies for scarves

Instructions

  1. Bake the Cake: Prepare the cake as per the instructions on the package. Let it cool completely.
  2. Form the Cake Balls: Crumble the cake into a large bowl. Mix in the frosting gradually until the mixture is moist and can hold together when pressed. Roll the mixture into small balls for the body and smaller ones for the heads.
  3. Insert the Sticks: Melt a small amount of white candy melts. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted candy and insert it into the larger cake ball. Place in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes to set.
  4. Assemble the Snowmen: Melt the remaining white candy melts. Dip each cake ball fully into the melted candy, tapping off any excess. Quickly attach the smaller cake ball to the larger one to form the snowman shape. Let them set, ideally on a cake pop holder or a styrofoam block.
  5. Decorate: Use the black edible gel to draw eyes, smiles, and buttons on the snowmen. Attach mini chocolate chips for eyes and buttons, using a little melted candy as “glue” if needed. Use orange candy for the nose. Wrap a short piece of red licorice around the neck to create a scarf.

Notes

  • If the cake pops crack or the candy coating isn’t smooth, try reheating the candy melts or ensuring the cake balls are fully cooled before dipping.
  • For an extra festive touch, add edible glitter or sprinkles on the candy coating before it sets.
  • Make sure the cake pops are kept in a cool place to prevent the candy from melting.
