Description

A deliciously moist and flavorful Bundt cake swirled with cinnamon and pecans, topped with a sweet glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup brown sugar (for the cinnamon swirl)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for the cinnamon swirl)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans (for the cinnamon swirl)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for the glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for the glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract (for the glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until just combined.
  3. Make the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and chopped pecans.
  4. Assemble the Cake: Pour half of the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon-pecan mixture evenly over the batter. Top with the remaining batter, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Prepare the Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  7. Cool and Glaze: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, drizzle the glaze over the cake. Decorate with whole pecans if desired.

Notes

  • Ensure all your ingredients are at room temperature for the best texture.
  • Toasting the pecans before mixing them into the batter can enhance their flavor.
  • For a richer glaze, substitute milk with heavy cream.
  • Avoid overmixing the batter to keep the cake light and fluffy.
